Problem Description
Recently in OPPID U9 there has been issue reported by many user regarding Instrument lines when placed are not visible accurately as it is expected typically when using OOTB Imperial workset or project. It appears to be very smaller and not visible to segregate it as Instrument Lines or Process Line..

When the same instrument lines are placed in Metric Workset it appears to be normal and visible as shown below.

Reason
- In ProjectdgnTemplate.dgnlib which can be found in below location the Instrument Line style scale in Element Template has been set to 0.008 instead of 0.0250 for Imperial Workset like Metric one..
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlant CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Workspaces\WorkSpace\WorkSets\OpenPlantImperial\Standards\OpenPlant\PID\DgnLibs

In PIDProjectTemplates.dgnlib→InstLines→e.g Capillary.
In Properties→Line Style Parameter→ Line Style Scale -it would be seen that for Isntrument Lines default value has been set to 0.008 due to which it is not properly visible.

Solution
- Launch PIDProjectTemplates.dgnlib. Go to Admin workflow, Click on Element Template or type in Search. And go to Manage.

- Clicking on Mange launches Element Template window, Into that window expand Instrumentation below PIDProjectTemplates.dgnlib→InstLines→e.g Capillary.
In Properties→Line Style Parameter→ Line Style Scale -it would be 0.008 set in default change to 0.0250.
In Default Value set for Line Style Parameter is 0.008 due to which

- Save the setting and go back to dgn.

- In dgn select Drawing workflow or type in search Element Template

- In Element Template, Select Manage

- Clicking on Manage, Element Template bring up its window infront, Into that Select Utilities →Update Template from Library.

This above step is important to fetch the changes done in dgn library into dgn.
Result:
Place new Instrument Lines for which changes were done and the Line will get reflected properly as it is in Metric project.

Thus proper visible instrument lines get displayed
