Problem Description
How to import a google map location into OpenBuildings Designer?
Steps to Accomplish
Please go through the below steps through which you can easily import a google map location into your OpenBuildings Designer.
- In the Google Earth Pro application search for the required location.

- Select Add Placemark.

3. Place the marker and rename accordingly.

- Save the Marker in the desired location as *.kmz file
- In OpenBuildings go to Define Placement Monument and browse the Source.

- Select the *.kmz file created.

- Snap the base point

- Export to Google Earth (*.kml).

- The Model will get reflected in the Google Earth Pro.

10. In your OpenBuildings Designer, click on Capture Google Earth Image.

- Go to Geographic Coordinate System from Placement and select the marker.

- Wait for the map to get loaded.
- The map will be seen in your OpenBuildings Designer.

- In the View Attributes go to the Background Map, select the Type as per requirement.

Note:
Make sure that your User Account Control Settings is set to Never Notify
