Overview
PIECE_MARK is not an updatable field from “Update from Spec”. The field can be updated from “Update Component” Piping>Database Tools>Update Component once the following have been implemented.
Add PIECE_MARK as an Updatable Field
Before PIECE_MARK can be updated though the Update Component dialog PIECE_MARK must be changed to an updateable field. Use the following steps to change PIECE_MARK to an updatable field:
1.Open Project Administrator
2.Select the Project
3.Expand the Project
4.Go to Database>Database
5.Select PROJDATA then Edit Tables
6.In the dialog choose PIPING then choose Columns
7.Select PIECE_MARK and change the column “Allow User Updates” to Yes
8.Save and close the project
In piping add PIECE_MARK as a field that can be updated
1.Go to Piping>Setup>Component Update Preferences
2.Add PIECE_MARK to Fields To Include
3.Ok and exit
PIECE_MARK can now be updated from Update Component.
