Background

To use the data from different file format to OpenPlant Modeler to create a new custom component from cell.

Problem Description

It has been seen that when the different format file let's say Dwg file is imported to OpenPlant Modeler to create a custom component out of it while placing it as a cell it gives the following error message

To avoid this error, follow the steps attached below to make the component from Dwg format to Dgn format.

Steps to Accomplish

1. Open the Dwg file in OpenPlant Modeler.
2. From File, Save as the file to Dgn format
   
   
   
   
3. Select the whole component & enter the keyin "drop element' & hit enter. 
   
   
   
   
4. Change the workflow to Modeling > select the whole assembly > click on Unite > Accept. Refer the attached image below
   
   
   
   
   
5. Now, follow the below wiki article to create a custom component & create a cell out of it

6. Once done, the error won't come as shown in image-1.
