Overview
The 'Energy Consumption by End Use' section of a Compliance Report can be a useful tool in pinpointing the reasons for a poor energy rating. While Heating, Cooling, Lighting and Hot Water categories are largely self-explanatory, Auxiliary Energy can appear slightly ambiguous.
Method
Controls, pumps and fans throughout the building will determine the Auxiliary Energy result. It is dependant on numerous factors, including:
- Type of HVAC system
- Specific Fan Power
- Variable speed pump selection
- Ductwork leakage classification
- AHU leakage classification
- Room Type (in particular hours of operation as set by NCM Activity database)
