Yes, OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition Update 7 can be used along with Microsoft Office 32-bit applications. Since 32-bit applications are already available to machine, in that scenario upon installation of OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition Update 7,it will install Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 (32-bit) and Microsoft SQL Server Express 2014 (32 bit) as an important prerequisites.

How OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition decides that which version of Microsoft Access Database Engine should be installed to machine?

Due to XDbProviderInstaller setup, it checks the already installed version of Microsoft Office. If Microsoft Office is of 64-bit then in that case it installs Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 (64-bit) only. If it detects Microsoft Office (32-bit) then it installs Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 (32-bit) along with Microsoft SQL Server Express 2014 (32-bit)

Do we have any limitation to use OpenPlant Specification Generator CONNECT Edition Update 7 with Microsoft Office 32-bit applications?

Yes, OpenPlant Specification Generator CONNECT Edition Update 7 requires Microsoft Access Database Engine of (64-bit). More details about this can be found in help file of OpenPlant Project Administrator CONNECT Edition.

Yes, we can use both the mentioned applications on a single machine where Microsoft Office 32-bit components are available. In this scenario, we need to install Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 (64-bit) as a passive mode of installation. Passive mode installation is required because it wont allow to install this setup normally when (32-bit) components of Microsoft Office are already available to machine. This will install Microsoft Access Database Engine setup in the background without showing any progress. To ensure its installation status, we need to check in control panel.
