How To Create Associated Property Using OpenPlant Project Administrator in OpenPlant PID Connect Edi

Background

In OpenPlant P&ID CONNECT Edition, sometimes user needs to create their own associated property. Here in this wiki we shall shall see how to detect clashes between pipelines.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch OpenPlant Project Administrator select the desired WorkSet, here, Imperial and expand the node to see the applications.



  2. From the OpenPlant PID node, click on Settings then Schema Editor and it will open schema editor window.



  3. In Schema Configuration window, look for Plant Breakdown Element and add a new Class, here WorkPackage is our new class.



  4. Now click on Relationships tab and click on Green Plus sign to add new relationship and Add Source Name and Target Name by searching. Provide a new for relationship (fill details as below).



    NOTE: Can be checked in relationship tab below.



  5. Click on the property tab and look for WorkPackage again and click on the key icon here to make this property as Business key and Save the changes.



  6. Click on close to close the Schema editor window.

  7. Click on Association option and click on plus icon to add new hierarchy



  8. Hit on Plus icon again and add pipeline class same as above step 7.





  9. Drag the pipeline class and drop on WorkPackage. Below Gif for how to drag and drop on WorkPackage class and select the relationship which is created on Step 4 (Work package Has Named Item ) and save the changes.



  10. Verify the results by creating a new pipeline and check for results.
