How do I enable ProjectWise desktop integration with OpenBuildings Designer?

Solution

Below is the workflow that will allow you to enable ProjectWise Desktop integration with OpenBuildings Designer. 

  1. Open the BuildingDesigner_PW.cfg file from this location: C:\Program Files\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\OpenBuildingsDesigner\Config\appl\

  1. Add a # in front of the variable PW_DISABLE_INTEGRATION_FROM_DESKTOP:1. This will "comment out" the variable to enable ProjectWise integration when OpenBuildings Designer is launched from the desktop.

 

  1. Next, use the ProjectWise Log in dialog box to log in to your ProjectWise Datasource from OpenBuildings Designer, after which you will get the ProjectWise datasource browser.
