How to Add Bubble Location For Flow Meter in OpenPlant PID CONNECT Edition

Background

In OpenPlant PID, by default only one Location is defined that is Field Mounted. User requirement is to have different types of bubble location. In this Wiki article we will see how to add bubble location for flow meter like we do have in Parametric Instrument.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch Class Editor V8i. 



  2. Open OpenPlant_PID.01.08.ecschema.xml schema from below path. Here project unit is metric.

    C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlant CONNECT Edition\Configuration\WorkSpaces\OpenPlantExample\WorkSets\Metric\Standards\OpenPlant\Schemas




  3. Supplement with OpenPlant_PID_Supplemental_Design.01.08.ecschema.xml from below path.

    C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlant CONNECT Edition\Configuration\WorkSpaces\OpenPlantExample\WorkSets\Metric\Standards\OpenPlant\Schemas




  4. Navigate to Control Valve Annotation Divider List class



  5. Go to Class Tab and you will see StandardValues Custom Attribute.



  6. Right click ValueMap and select Add element.




  7. Add New Element, see below image.



  8. Save all Changes. Launch OpenPlant PID CONNECT Edition.



  9. Go to Instruments ribbon tab. Click on Flow Elements.



  10. Select and Place Magnetic Inline flow element. 



  11. We can see different types of bubble location.
