Background

In OpenPlant PID CONNECT Edition, As per user’s request, how to place Valve With a Solenoid( Letter 's' )  With a Style. User having placed a control valve with a solenoid, the letter 's' is placed without a style and it comes about 4 inches.   This wiki article explains the procedure for it.




Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch Bentley Class Editor.

  2. Open OpenPlant.PID.01.08.ecschema.xml and Supplement it with OpenPlant_PID_supplemental_Desging 01.08.ecschema.xml.

  3. Navigate the Actuator class in the schema and click on the single solenoid operator class. In the component, fixed text list custom attribute add text style as your project requirement.



  4. Save all the schema changes. 

  5. Place the control valve using a single solenoid operator as shown below.
