Steps to Accomplish

This appears to be caused by the antivirus software SentinelOne blocking the program.

To remedy the issue, try the following:

Option 1: Add the following files/folders to the SentinelOne exclusions:

  1. C:\Program Files\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\OpenBuildingsDesigner\OpenBuildingsDesigner.exe
  2. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\CONNECTION Client\LicService\Bentley.Licensing.LicenseTool.exe
  3. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\CONNECTION Client\Bentley.Connect.Client.exe
  4. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\CONNECT Advisor\Bentley.Connect.Advisor.Service.exe
  5. C:\Program Files\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\OpenBuildingsDesigner\ConnectAdvisor\Bentley.Connect.Advisor.Api.dl

Option 2: Launch the program from the executable file (OpenBuildingsDesigner.exe) from this location (C:\Program Files\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\OpenBuildingsDesigner) and run as administrator:

Option 3: Disable SentinelOne antivirus and then try launching OpenBuildingsDesigner (check the SentinelOne website given below).

Option 4: If at all possible, try temporarily uninstalling the antivirus program and running OpenBuildingsDesigner.
