In OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition, requirement is to add dimensional unit to added or existing property in OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition.
Background
In OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition, for a custom added property user can add its dimensional unit using OpenPlant Project Administrator CONNECT Edition. Below wiki article explain the procedure to achieve this requirement.
Steps to Accomplish
- Launch OpenPlant Project Administrator CONNECT Edition.

- Select your desired workset, here OpenPlant Metric is considered.
- Expand the workset node & select your desired product icon. Refer image below.

- From Ribbon interface, select Settings and click on Schema Editor as shown below.

- This will evoke Schema Configuration window
- Enter desired class name, here Pipeline class to Search box & click on Search icon. Refer image below.

- Expand the Classes node & select Pipeline class as shown below.

- Select Properties tab & click on “+” icon to add a new property as shown below.

- To Add New Property dialog, enter desired property name that needs to be added.
- Click on Display label field, notice that it automatically updates the display label to lower case & remove the underscore as shown below.

- Change the Type to Double.
- For Kind of quantity select desired quantity from list. In this article Volume Flow Rate is taken as an example. Refer image below.

- Select desired Unit from list as shown below.

- Click on OK.

- Click on Save to save all the changes. Refer image below.

- Launch OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition, create a pipeline & verify the customization.
