Background

In OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition, Placing the Pipe Lateral Tee fitting varies depending upon Branch Angle.Hence this wiki helps for changing the branch angle while placing the Pipe Lateral Tee.

Steps to Accomplish

1. Launch the Bentley Class Editor.   
   
   
   
   
2. Bentley Class Editor can also be launched through OpenPlant Project Administrator CONNECT Edition.
   
   
      
3. In CONNECT Edition OpenPlant Project Administrator, Click on OpenPlant Modeler application for the required project in WorkSpace and click on Tools. After clicking on OpenPlant Modeler, Tools-> Class Editor icon gets enabled as shown in image below.   
   
   
   
   
4. Considering Metric Project : Open the OpenPlant_3D.01.08.ecshema.xml & supplement it with OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Modeling.01.08.ecshema.xml & OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_ModelingViewes.01.08.ecshema.xml   through below default std path.
   (OpenPlant_3D.01.08.ecshema.xml: Std Path(C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlant CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Workspaces\WorkSpace\WorkSets\OpenPlantMetric\Standards\OpenPlant\Schemas )   
    
5. Select Pipe Lateral Tee then its Properties-> Branch Angle as shown in Image below.
   
   
   
   It can be observed that only Property Display Status -Custom Attribute is added to Branch Angle property but faded hence not able to edit.
    
6. Select Equal Pipe Lateral Tee and in Branch Angel property you can view custom attribute-OpenPlant_Physical_Catalogue_Property_Maps is added already and Physical Display Status faded as highlighted in rectangular box in image below. 
   
   
   
   
7. Launch the OpenPlant Modeler and  in dgn verify the Branch Angle after placing Equal Pipe Lateral Tee.
   It can be verified 45 Degree faded as shown in image below. 
   
   
   
   
8. To make Property Display Status - custom attribute editable click on Pipe Lateral Tee class,  Then in Branch Angle in Properties click on Override. 
   After Clicking on Override Add/ Remove Custom Attribute dialog box gets launch.
   
   
   
   Verify the location of schema as it should be saved to OpenPlant_3d_Supplemental_Modelling_01.08 as highlighted in above shown image .Then hit on OK.
    
9. Pipe Lateral Tee being parent class, the Custom Attribute-Property Display Status is added to all child classes.
   
   
   
   Select again Equal Pipe Lateral Tee, It can be observed that in Branch Angle, Property Display Status select option  as Show editable through drop down list.
   
   
10. Change the Element Info and General Status to Show editable as shown in image below.and save the schemas
    
    
    
    
11. Place another Equal Pipe Lateral Tee again and  while Placing it can be seen the Branch Angle is editable now.
    Give the desired angle and place the Fitting as shown in image below.
    
    
    

    Hence as per user requirement the Branch Angle can be changed while placing the Equal  Pipe Lateral Tee Fitting.
