TM52 - Overheating Simulation

Overview

The Temperature Frequency simulation can be used to calculate hourly room temperatures for the entire year, to analyse the risk of overheating and predict occupant comfort levels.

CIBSE TM52 overheating methodology is incorporated into this simulation, allowing users to check for compliance with Criterion 1 , 2 & 3 of the TM52 requirements.

Method

This can be found on the Simulation menu, by clicking on the Simulation Method dropdown and selecting Temperature Frequency.

 



Result can be displayed numerically or shown as a temperature frequency curve:

 

 Included is the option to set room temperature limit (on the Options tab) and produce CIBSE TM52 (overheating criterion 1,2 and 3) room reports:
