If the material types of constructions are not defined correctly the following error may occur:

These issues occur due to surfaces having inconsistent material types defined in adjacent rooms. To accurately model the thermal transfer between such rooms it is essential that their dividing construction be properly defined. This applies to the constructions of:
Global Change can be used to easily select all relevant rooms and change the material types accordingly.
For example, the ceiling type of a ground floor room must be a mirror image of the internal floor type of the adjacent first floor room above it, as in image below:
Similarly, adjacent rooms must both use the same construction type for their dividing partition wall, for example:
Once these Global Changes are applied these surface errors should be resolved.
