Problem
How can I create an overhang in a specific layer of a Compound Slab?
Solution
Steps:
- Click on the Place Slab icon which is available under the Architectural or Structural tabs in the ribbon bar.
- This will open the ‘Place Compound Slab’ dialog box. From there choose a multi-layer Compound Slab such as ‘Residential Floor Assembly’.
- Click on the light-bulb icon drop-down and choose ‘Load Compound Slab Settings’.
- The ‘Compound Slab Editor’ dialog will now open. There you can find the ‘Edge Set Back’ column. Add the desired value for the layers where you want to create an overhang.
- When you are finished click on ‘OK’ and place a new Compound Slab that will include the overhangs defined above.
