How to automate offset of Valve operator Handwheel in OPM CE

Background

In OpenPlant Modeler CE, the requirement is to automate offset for valve Operator Handle. In this article, we are taking the example of Gear Operator Valve.

Steps to Accomplish

    1. Launch Bentley Class Editor.



    2. Open OpenPlant_3D.01.08.ecschema.xml and supplement it with the below schemas.



    3. Search for GearBox_Operator class




    4. Switch to Properties tab > Look for HANDLE_OFFSET and set the Default Value



    5. Save the schema and verify the result. The Value for the Handwheel Offset will now fetch from the Default Value which is defined in the schema as shown below.
