Overview

Users might want to export their energy simulation model into other simulation tools to further expand their work. 

Method

Energy models are interoperable through a common data format called GBXML (Green Building eXtensible Markup Language), which allows other analysis tools to incorporate BIM models and any other energy models into their environment. To do so for an Energy Simulation model choose File > Export > Exchange File Types > gbXML:

Next, the software displays the model in an Export Viewer dialog, and shows errors if there are any:

Click export, then Energy Simulator will saves the gbxml version under the \Results folder of the active WorkSet; however you can save it another folder as well.
