How to see commit changes into PlantSight from OpenPlant PID

Overview

In OpenPlant PID Update 10, a new Commit Message Dialog is added for PlantSight connected projects.

When synchronizing from Drawing to PlantSight, the commit dialog will appear. In that Commit Message dialog, User can add desired comment.

In this wiki article, we will see the use of the Commit Message Dialog Box.

Steps To Accomplish

Note:- Workset must be associated with PlantSight.

  1. Load OpenPlant PID CONNECT Edition.



  2. Add Valves in the already created P&ID drawing.



  3. Go to PlantSight Ribbon Group and Click on Sync.



  4. “Drawing to PlantSight Differences” Dialog appears and Click on Update.



  5. Prompt for “Commit Message Dialog” can be seen. Enter any desired comment and click on OK.



  6. Drawing to PlantSight Synchronization has been completed successfully Dialog pops up.



  7. Navigate to PlantSight to review the committed change.

  8. Click on Home icon and from the Named Version, select Changes.



  9. Click on Comment to verify the result. Make sure to select view as 2D View.
