How to Clear Reserved Tags from OpenPlant in EDM

Overview

From OpenPlant Update 9 release, new feature has been released for handling tags in PlantSight to be used with OpenPlant applications like OpenPlant Modeler and OpenPlant PID called  Tag Management in Data Manager.    

       Some times during pushing of Data to Plantsight, Tags get reserved hence it become a necessity to clear this Reserve Tags. This Wiki will help user to get to Clean Tag Register which eventually will lead user to option of Reserve Tag option through Engineering Data Manager.

Note: For all Link given in this wiki  if not accessible through your Plantsight project then kindly check  permission and access rights.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Whenever PlantSight project is created it can be created through below link

    https://plantsight.bentley.com/

    (If Plantsight Project is created through above link iModel is created Automatically with project name and suffix as “_dt”)

  2. You can register new project as well from below link

    https://connect.bentley.com/

    Register New Project overhere e.g TESAPT-1



  3. Click on new created project TESAP-1 and get inside it.
    And verify the Guid in address bar of browser mainly chrome as shown below


      
  4. Get inside the project and scroll down and click on iModel icon.


      
  5. As you enter iModel Window view the address bar which would have guids combined of registered project (Guid)-iModel-iModel(Guid)



  6. Copy the Guids content from addressbar,“ af8263e5-ff6c-4d25-8ffa-5b3b879fde79/iModel/00d006cd-fb7a-426a-8753-0d2a844ee9e4 “


     
  7. Launch a new tag in browser and paste below link in it

    https://connect-openplantdatamanager.bentley.com/Context/

    and add further into it Guid of Plantsight project/iModel/ Guid of iModel
     
    Guid: af8263e5-ff6c-4d25-8ffa-5b3b879fde79/iModel/00d006cd-fb7a-426a-8753-0d2a844ee9e4
                                 PlantSight Project Guid                                      iModel Guid

    So overall link would be

    Above link will load Engineering Data Manager window(EDM),Into it Click on Setting as shown in image below.



    And hit enter it will load Engineering Data Manager(EDM)
    Note: Kindly verify the access right if not able to get into it with Bentley.

  8. After getting into Setting click on Clean Tag Register option.



  9. Through Release icon user can release tag.



  10. Below just one tag got reserved so to free it, first select the tag i.e select  on that tag and then hit on Release


      
  11. After Tag gets released, “No reserved Tags found “ will be displayed



    In this way reserved Tags would be released.

    Note: If EDM site is not accessible then there must rights issue or contact your administator first about rights access and then contact  Bentley Technical support  team.
