How to Change Measurement Unit in PlantSight Visualizer used in Measuring Element.

Overview

In PlantSight user has  the feasibility to change the measurement units getting reflected as per their requirement i.e from Metric to Imperial, Imperial to Metric This wiki will guide in achieving this requirement.

Steps to Accomplish

    1. In Visualizer below 3d model shown has been synced through OPM CE.
      And would be measuring distance upon the elements added into it.


        
    2. In Visualizer area as highlighted  click on Measure Tool-A, then select Distance-B.
      Then click on starting point of element and based upon accudraw (Press E or S) hit on enter to measure the distance.
      And as shown the pipe distance is 10.9531 ft which is into Imperial


        
    3. To change the Measurement distance unit from ft to meters, Go to top right corner and click on dropdown arrow just besides of your name initals  as shown below.
      Then select User Settings.


        
    4. Visualizer dialog box gets reflected into that go to Measurement Tools Units.
      In default as shown below Imperial was selected.


        
    5. Click on Metric such that blue icon gets highlighted infront of it and then click on cancel.



    6. After settings are changed reload Plantsight portal and again come back to visualizer portal and measure the distance it will reflected into meters as shown below 3.3385 m.



      In this way measurement units can be changed in PlantSight Visualizer.
