Background
In this wiki article, we will explore how to create issues for components as per project requirements.
Steps to Accomplish
A. Pre-requisite
- To use the visualizer portal, we need to have PlantSight registered project.
- Workset must be associated and Setup with a PlantSight project.
- Ensure that desired applications are enabled for workset like OpenPlant Modeler and OpenPlant PID.
Note: Provision tool has rebranded as Setup in OpenPlant Update 9. Refer image as shown below.

B. Loading visualizer portal and create an issue for the specified component
- Load OpenPlant Project Administrator.
- Select an associated workset and from the Project Portalsribbon group and select PlantSight. Refer to the image below.

- Enter login credentials if prompted.
- Once logged in successfully, notice the in the left-hand pane, visualizer service is enlisting as shown in below

- Click on Visualize and navigate 3D models. Select the imodel and click on enter imodel as shown below

. - In the imodel, click on the issue and select the Create Issue as shown below

- Identify the component where you want to create an issue rule. Refer below image

- In the Issue add a subject, date, assigned to, and description. Click on the save option as shown below

- After generating the issue, specify the issue is open. Click on create as open. Refer below image

- In the PlantSight, it is showing an issue flag as mention in the issue settings. Refer below image
