Background

In this wiki article, we will explore the possibilities to install OpenPlant Modeler application to windows. OpenPlant Modeler can be installed via set.exe file or from the layout (deployment image).

Steps to Accomplish

Method 1: Installation via Setup.exe

1. Click & Login to Connection Client.
   
   
   
   
   
   
2. Click on CONNECT Center.
   
   
   
   
3. It will automatically load a webpage of connect.bentley.com in default web browser. Please login if further login credentials pops up.
   
   
   
   
4. Scroll to the end of web page and from My Services section, click on Software Downloads.
   
   
   
   
5. Select desired product line and brand, in this case Plant Design as Product Line and OpenPlant as Brand. Click on Apply. Alternatively, user can enter name of the product into Search for product.
   
   
   
   
6. For OpenPlant Modeler, click on Get Software to download the setup.
   
   
   
   
7. Select the fields as desired and click on Apply.
   
   
   
   
8. Click on Download icon to download the setup.
   
   
   
   
9. Double click on the setup in this case "opm10090074en_updt9.exe".
   
   
   
   
10. The OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition Dialog Opens. Click on Configure. It will show the Application Installation Location. Click on Next.
    
    
    
    
    
    
11. Select the Delivered Configuration and Click on Next.
    
    
    
    
12. Feature selection dialog will open. Enable features as given below. Click on Done.
    
    Enabling "OpenPlant Support Engineering" and "Raceway And Cable Management " features will install respective tools in OpenPlant Modeler.

    Note :- Enabling / Installing "OpenPlant Support Engineering" and "Raceway And Cable Management" features are chargeable.
    
    
    

13. Select "I accept the End User and click on Install".
    
    
    
    
14. Installation Procedure continues.
    
    
    

    Note :- Do not cancel the procedure while installation.

15. Once installation is done, application icon can be seen on desktop.
    
    
    
    
    

Method 2 : Installation of OpenPlant Modeler via Layout (Deployment Image)

Pre-requisite: Setup.exe file of OpenPlant Modeler should be available.

Installation procedure

1. Please refer provided link to create deployment image for OpenPlant Modeler. >>>Click Here<<<
   
   Note: Please note that version name of setup.exe file defined in above wiki article may vary. However the procedure of creating deployment image is same.
   
   
2. From deployment image folder, double click on OpenPlant Modeler.exe and by default installation should proceed successfully.
