To get started with iTwins you need an iModel which would store and manage the engineering data your need for your digital twin.
Follow these steps to create an iModel:
To see all properties, use Properties dialog.
In order to restrict the digital twin modeling to a particular area of interest, you can define extents by drawing a rectangle outlining the iModel’s geographic boundaries.
When you bridge your data, it may not be displayed properly, and some elements could be outside of the required model boundaries. Having maximum extent information will help applications to fit the view accordingly to the area of interest your specified and inform about elements outside the maximum distance limit, which then can be fixed in the original design file.
If your project has engineering location specified using Latitude/Longitude the initial map area will be zoomed accordingly in Create an iModel dialog, or you can use Search field to find the required location using its address.
To edit or set up maximum extent after initial iModel is created:
Have a visual representation of your digital twin? You can upload a static image as an iModel cover using the Change cover action in the iModel's context menu, or directly in Create iModel or Edit iModel dialogs.
Supported formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .png and the maximum allowed size is 5 MB.
