Background
In OpenPlant Applications, the user requirement is to customize it according to the client for any either information which is not available by default. For this Opening appropriate schema & supplementing it is an important task. This wiki article explains how to open & Supplement Schemas for various applications as follows:-

Steps to Accomplish
>> How to Load & Supplement Schemas for OpenPlant Modeler
- Launch Bentley Class Editor.

- For the desired workset location, navigate to below highlighted path. Select OpenPlant3D.01.08 schema & click on Open to load the schema.

- Upon opening, it will ask to locate missing reference BentleyBase.01.00. Locate it with the below-mentioned path. Refer image as shown below
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantCONNECTEdition\Configuration\Workspaces\TEST_1\Standards\OpenPlant\Schemas

- To supplement the loaded schema (OpenPlant 3D), right moue on the schema & from sub-options select Supplement Schema, refer image as shown below

- To include desired supplemental schemas, click on Add in Specify Supplemental Schema dialog. Refer image as shown below

- Select the schemas as highlighted & click on Open

- In Specify Supplemental Schemas dialog, notice that selected supplemental schemas are enlisting here. Click on OK to proceed further. This will ask to locate missing references.

- Locate the missing Reference to each Supplemented schemas mentioned in the above step. Refer images below for missing reference to each Schema
Note that, the location for the missing reference schema is mentioned below
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantCONNECTEdition\Configuration\Workspaces\TEST_1\Standards\OpenPlant\Schemas


- Once, all the missing reference has been located we can see “Supplemented” keyword as shown in the image below.

1. Launch Bentley Class Editor.
2. For the desired workset location, navigate to the below highlighted path. Select OpenPlant_PID.01.08.ecschema & click on Open to load the schema.

3. Locate the missing reference bmf.01.08.ecschema & hit Open as shown

4. To Supplement Schema do Right-Click > Supplement Schema as shown

5. To include desired supplemental schemas, click on Add in Specify Supplemental Schema dialog. Refer image as shown below

6. Select the schemas OpenPlant_PID_Supplemental_Design.01.08.ecschema & Open as shown

7. In Specify Supplemental Schemas dialog, notice that selected supplemental schemas are enlisting here. Click on OK to proceed further. This will ask to locate the missing references.

8. Locate the missing Reference BusinessKey.01.01.ecschema as shown

9. The required schema is Supplemented for OpenPlant PID as shown
