In OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition, requirement is to know about the workflow of creation/addition of configuration for OpenPlant Modeler using ProjectWise Share.
Background
With ProjectWise Share we have flexibility to store cloud-based data to desired machine. As we know that ProjectWise Share requires registered ProjectWise project. In this wiki article, we will brief on how to place files to ProjectWise Share & synchronize them so that files be the part of your client or local machine. For this exercise, we are assuming that user have ProjectWise registered project along with ProjectWise Share services enabled for his account.
Steps to Accomplish
- Go to portal for iModel Hub registered project from below mentioned link.
https://connect.bentley.com/ - Enter your desired ProjectWise registered project.
- Under ProjectWise 365 Services, click on Share as shown below.

- Select the Configuration folder (OpenPlant configuration) from desired file folder location & drag/drop into Share section as shown below.

- Progress of upload can be seen as well, refer image below.

- Once upload process is completed, we need to set synchronization on the Configuration folder.
- To enable the synchronization, select the Configuration folder, click on three dot & select Set for synchronization. Refer image as shown below.

- On a user machine or client machine, login to Connection Client.
- Click on Setting (Gear Icon) & select Preferences as shown below.

- From CONNECTION Client Preferences dialog, click on Share & check for Enable Share Sync as shown below.

- Click on Sync Now to start the sync, this will copy the entire Configuration folder to local drive at client machine & same information can be seen under Share node as shown below.

Notice that under ProjectWise Share node, it automatically creates one folder as the name of ProjectWise registered project name. Inside that folder, entire configuration folder can be seen. - Now, we will add the configuration using OpenPlant Project Administrator CONNECT Edition.
- Load OpenPlant Project Administrator CONNECT Edition.
- From Configuration Ribbon, click on Add as shown below.

- Browse the location under ProjectWise Share node & select WorkSpaceSetup.cfg & click on Open as shown below.

- Notice that added configuration can be seen as shown below.

- Ensure to Activate the added configuration path & load OpenPlant Modeler to verify the result.
