Background

The Merge Catalogs utility enables you to merge two or more catalogs to create a new catalog.This utility is specifically provided to enables you to take an updated catalog, typically one shipped with a new version of OpenPlant which may have had some new components added, and merge it with a previous version of a catalog that you have been using to make it current.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch OpenPlant Project Administrator CONNECT Edition.



  2. Select the desired WorkSet, expand the node and click on OpenPlant Modeler and from tools Tab launch Specification Generator.



  3. Once Specification Generator is launched, from the Home Tab, click on Tools tab and select Catalog Editor.



  4. From Catalog Editor option, select Merge option.



  5. Select the catalogs to merge from the list. To select multiple catalogs, hold down the <Crtl > button while making your selections and Click Open. The catalogs will be listed in the File Name field. Here , Keystone and Valmatic.



  6. Click Open and select an output location for the merged catalog , give a desired name for Merged Catalog , here KeyandValmatic and hit save option.



  7. Upon clicking Save, you will see below dialog.



  8. To verify the results, we shall not click on Open and select the new created catalog KeyandValmatic.
