Background
In OpenPlant Modeler, requirement is to fetch Nominal diameter branch of weldolet in the report. This wiki article explains the procedure for it.
Steps to Accomplish
- Launch Bentley Class Editor,
- For the desired workset location, select 01.08schema & click on Open to load the schema. Supplement the loaded schema with Supplemental schemas.

Click Here(attach link) - Navigate to Weldolet class, switch Property Tab and Override the Nominal diameter branch. Refer below image
- Right-click on the Nominal Diameter Branch and copy the property. Refer image below.
- Go to the Piping Component class and paste the property as shown below.
- Save all the changes & verify the result in OpenPlant Modeler.
- Since the Report need to be fetched from OpenPlant Modeler CE, so kindly go to OPPA CE.
- Select the required Workspace→Workset →Select application OpenPlant Modeler OpenPlant Modeler CE →Reporting Designer.
- Navigate the piping folder and click on BOM By Line Number as shown below.
- Right top corner of its table. Select Data Binding to Nominal Diameter Branch property as shown below.
- Navigate add a group and add the Nominal Diameter Branch property as shown below.
- Tick on show Hearder for Nominal Diameter Branch property as shown below.
- Right-click on BOM By Line Number and upgrade the report as shown below.
- Click on Save for all the changes done and go to OPM CE.
- From Piping > Tools, open the reports & generate the BOM By Linenumber report again through the External report.

Observe that it can be seen that Nominal Diameter Branch getting reflected in BOM BY LINE NUMBER List report as well.
