Background
Unexplained errors are experienced during install of OpenPlant. There are two cases documented. First is another Openplant Product is still istalling. Second is a Windows issue where Windows installer is processing in the background. Windows relies on its services in order to run properly, and there's a service called Windows Installer that's in charge of installing new software.

Steps to Fix
CASE 1: Another OpenPlant product is installing.
- Let the existing installation to finish before proceeding with another product.
- Once no other product is installing, you can proceed with the install.
CASE 2.1: Restart the Windows Installer service
- Press the Windows key + R to start Run, type services.msc, and press Enter or click OK.

- Scroll down, find Windows Installer, and double-click on it to show it's properties.

- Look at the Service status and if it reads Running, just click the Stop button below.

- Try to install OpenPlant and see if the same error happens.
CASE 2.2: End the Windows Installer process
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc on your keyboard to open Task Manager.
- Navigate to the Processes tab and locate Windows Installer.
- Right-click it and choose End task from the menu.
If you have multiple Windows Installer processes running be sure to stop them all.
