Background
In AutoPLANT Modeler, most of the companies use their standard template for generating Isometric. OPIM uses default seed file (isoseed.dgn) as template for generating isometric. Any file with extension excluding .DGN will not be supported.
Steps to Accomplish
Open Default Seed.dgn File.
- Navigate to project location. Refer to given example.
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Plant V8i\Bentley Plant V8i Projects\SAMPLE_METRIC\Config\OpenPlant\Isometrics\styles\IFC\config
- Make a copy of default isoseed.dgn which comes during installation as a backup.
- Open Project Administrator, select SAMPLE_METRIC, OpenPlant Isometrics, Settings, and Isometric Style.
- Select Seed to open Seed file.
Copy Graphics from AutoCAD Template to Seed.dgn File.
- Once Seed file is open, go to File, Open, and Browse the template dwg file.
- Select the whole template and copy (Ctrl + C).
- Select the green arrow located at lower left corner.
- Paste the copied template.
- Scale the template as per requirement.
Define Drawing Area and Move Text nodes.
- Select Window Extent and Change.
- Define the new drawing area by dragging the mouse pointer in space provided.
- Go to View Attributes and select Text Nodes.
- Move the text node based on preferred location.
- Go to File and Save.
- Save the file as isoseed.dgn and verify the result.
