Course Objectives

By the end of the course, you’ll have covered the following topics:

How to Complete Your User Setup. At the end of this section, you will have completed your user setup and logged in to your server.

How to Log in to Your Server. At the end of this section, you will understand the functions on the login screen, how to reset your password if required, how to recognise when the login screen has timed out and how to resolve this.

How to Navigate the System. At the end of this section, you will be able to navigate from the Home screen to your project, find tasks that have been issued to you, search for documents that you will regularly access, and read notifications on the home screen.

How to Navigate to Your Project. At the end of this section, you will be able to access your documents, know where to upload information, be able to search for documents by status and be able to navigate the folder structure of a project.

How to Upload Information. At the end of this section, you will be able to name your documents correctly using a naming convention, upload documents to your project and understand how document privacy affects your access to documents.

Using Placeholders to Correctly Name Your Documents At the end of this section you will be able to create placeholders and correctly name documents following the ISO19650 naming convention.

How to Search for Information. At the end of this section, you will know how to search within the system for spaces and documents and how to filter lists to find the specific information that you require.

How to Download and View Documents. At the end of this section, you will be able to view information online using the Brava! viewer, download information from the system and lock documents to prevent them from being altered.

Updating Documents. At the end of this section, you will be able to correct and edit document metadata, revise documents and re-name documents.

Issuing Documents. At the end of this section, you will understand how to collaborate with other users of the system through sending Issues.

Responding to Tasks. At the end of this section, you will be able to find tasks that have been issued to you for action and respond to those tasks, adding markup to documents where appropriate.

Managing Your Own Issues. At the end of this section, you will be able to access and manage your issues - making sure that responses are received & checked and Issues completed.
