Federal Submission/NBI


To create the data necessary for the federal submission, go to Manager > Federal Submission > NBI Tape Generation

You can then view and/or filter which assets you want to include in the federal submission. On the top right of the page is a button which will take you to a page that lists the assets and the reason they are excluded from your federal submittal data. You can view the number of assets on the Summary view and the actual assets themselves by clicking on the individual reasons for exclusion tables.  From here, you can also export the list to excel.

At this point, you will need to analyze your data to see if erroneous input has eliminated assets from the submittal.  

*Changing any of the data (by using Manage Inventory or Edit Asset Values) requires that you reset the data using the Reset button.

Keep in mind that if you change a large number of assets, the reset will take longer.

Following the reset, click the Generate NBI Tape button and a download of the tape will be available to open in a text editor (i.e. notepad, wordpad).

    


Troubleshooting

Nothing happened? No download? Look in the upper left corner for messages:

1) No NBI data available to generate tape

  

When no assets are selected, no assets will appear in the submittal data.

Solution: RESET the data, filter the asset tree to the assets you want to include, select the assets, GENERATE NBI SUBMITTAL.

2) Calculation Status: Updating

When the calculation status indicates Updating, the data is being updated between asset values and available federal submittal data.

Solution: Grab a cup of coffee.  Depending on the number of assets updating, system updates run approximately every 30 minutes.  
When the calculation status = Complete, Generate NBI Tape.
