How to extract notice XML

How to extract notice XML to send to Bentley Support or to TMA recipients if the transaction failed and cannot be retried.

Background

Sometimes Support need to see the actual XML of a notice, to check for errors and sometimes to load it into their test system when analysing an issue.  It can also happen that notices are not sent successfully and cannot be retried so the XML needs to be sent to the recipient for them to load manually.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Log into Highways by Exor, navigate to TMA / Web Services / Monitor Web Service Transactions (TMA3000) and query the relevant notice.
  2. From the menu select Links / View XML                                                                    .
  3. In the window that pops up click the View In Browser button at the bottom.
  4. This will bring up a new browser window with the XML in it.  If the XML appears as one long line of unformatted text, right-click in the middle of the browser window and select View Source from the menu.  This should give a window of formatted text similar to the screenshot below.
  5. Highlight and copy all the text in this window, paste it into a text editor like Notepad, or into Word, save it and send the text file or document in an email.
