This article explains how the FTP needs to be setup in MapCapture for posting inspections to Exor database
There are many tricky points in this process that might lead to the FTP not working on MapCapture therefore this wiki article will try to mention all of them and will be kept updated if there are any new issues related to FTP discovered.
1. In MC ToolBox click on 'Settings and Preferences'
2. Under 'Inspections' tab un-check the 'Save inspection locally' box. The FTP Server Site drop-down list should become active (it is greyed-out before you un-check the box). The FTP Server Site should get updated after a connection is made to Exor or after you re-connect. It is supposed to show all the FTP connections available to be used for Inspection loading.
If the drop-down list is not updated with the available FTP connections you need to do the following:
1. Make sure there is a FTP connection created in Exor 'FTP Connections form'. It must have name 'MCP'. If there is no connection created - please create one and test it to make sure it works.
2. Make sure that there is a process in Exor named 'Maintenance Inspection Loader' that is setup to use 'MCP' FTP connection as MapCapture performs such check.
3. Once the above is correctly set up – you need to re-create a workspace from scratch, re-register features in Geospatial Admin, export the workspace and then FTP connection entry should appear in MapCapture.
If FTP connection still does not appear in MapCapture you might need to check the domain LIST_FtpSitesMAI.xml in Geospatial Administrator and enter values manually in there.
