BECS Installation via WiX


The purpose of the BECS installation via WiX (Windows installer packages) is to have the BECS Integration Server, BECS Enterprise Desktop and BECS Scheduler installed on your computer. The installation guides below will help you with installation on your computer step by step.

 

What is needed for successful installation?

    • System HW and SW requirements 
      • Please, check that your system meets the minimal requirements (below). 
    • BECS installation guides
      • Please follow the BECS installation guides (below) for proper installation. Depending on your hardware configuration, the whole installation process will take about 60 minutes.
    • BECS installation files
      • BECS Integration Server, BECS Enterprise Desktop and BECS Scheduler installation via WiX consist of 2 steps:
        • BECS prerequisites installation,
        • BECS Integration Server, BECS Enterprise Desktop and BECS Scheduler installation.
      • The latest versions of BECS installation files can be found in the download section at the bottom of this page.

System HW and SW requirements

BECS DEV and BECS TST Integration Server hardware requirements
    • Processor: Intel(R) Xeon(R) 5 or higher (or equivalent from other vendors), at 2.6GHz or more, 2 processors
    • RAM: 32GB RAM
    • Disk space: 100GB 
    • Network: LAN Ethernet 100Mbps or faster

 

BECS PROD Integration Server and MS SQL Server hardware requirements

    • Processor: Intel(R) Xeon(R) 5 or higher (or equivalent from other vendors), at 2.6GHz or more, 4 processors
    • RAM: 64GB RAM
    • Disk space: 1TB 
    • Network: LAN Ethernet 1Gps or faster

 

BECS Integration Server software requirements

    • Operating system: Windows Server 2016 or higher (x86 or x64 versions)
    • Other requirements: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 (full profile) or higher including this, Internet Information Services 6.0 or higher (depending on OS version) with ASP.NET 4.0, Microsoft Message Queuing Service (part of the Windows Server installation, not installed by default), Microsoft Windows Installer 4.5 or higher
    • System database: Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or higher (can be on different machine)
    • SAP (only if planned to connect): SAP GUI 7.50 or higher, librfc32.dll installation required Development Tools (Unicode RFC Libraries) installation required
    • Oracle (only if planned to connect): Oracle ODAC 11.2.0.1.2 with ODP.NET installed

 

Software prerequisites

For successful installation of BECS Integration Server, BECS Enterprise Desktop and BECS Scheduler it is necessary to have installed these prerequisites:

    • MSMQ, .NET Framework 4.8., IIS 6 Web Server 
    • MS SQL Server (local or remote instance)
    • MS SQL Server Management Studio
