Problem
When I try to add a file to eB (using either Director, eBweb or any other client applications) I get an error saying:
"...there was a problem performing the action 'Upload..."There is no Repository in the relevant Repository Group that is 'Online'. 'Write Enabled'..."
Cause
The following are the most common causes of the error:
- the eB Storage Service is not running
- the eB Storage Service is running but is not serving the community in question
- there is no repository defined for the community.
Solution
1. Make sure the eB Storage Service is running
- run eBSMC on the application server
- click the Service Manger node on the Explorer tree
- check the status of the eB Storage Service in the top right (main) pane
- if it is stopped, restart it by clicking the service name, and then the "Start" icon at the top of the window
2. Make sure the community is served by the eB Storage Service
- in the eBSMC, click the Storage node on the Explorer tree
- in the Community Served pane, make sure a check mark is present next to the community in question
- if not, click the empty square box to check the community
- supply the eB ADMIN username and password to complete the process
3. Ensure there is a default repository defined for the community
- please refer to the "To Create a Repository" section in the eB Implementation Guide
