Error or Warning Message

Error message received when trying to upload file in eB Web using ‘turtle’
Error: I'm sorry, there was a problem creating the temporary folder for transfer. The directory name is invalid. 

Explanation

When file is being uploaded, activeX creates subdirectory for a log file under C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\ directory (C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\2\Bentley\eB.Control.IEControl – subdirectory might vary). If directory is missing and user account does not have sufficient permissions to create subdirectories under temp folder then activeX will fail creating log file leading to failure of file upload. 

How to Avoid

1. In Internet Explorer navigate to Internet Options>Security tab. 
   
   
   

2. Select Trusted sites (Step 1) and add your site to Trusted site list (Steps 2 and 3) and after doing so disable Protected Mode (Step 4). After taking these steps save changes by pressing OK (Step 5) and restart Internet Explorer.
