Problem

Error received when trying to view specific PDF file in Brava Viewer. Communication with Brava! Server error: Failed to publish document. HTTP Response Code is 500, not 2XX. Net-It Enterprise error: Exception processing file.

If this error is received with all pdf files, please skip this solution as in that case issue probably going to be related to Brava configuration.

Solution

Download file locally, open it with Acrobat Reader or any other application that can process pdf file types and check if there are no attached files (screenshot below). Brava does not support viewing of PDF type files which contains any attachments and all attachments needs to be deleted from pdf file before uploading to eB environment.
