Problem Description:

Director or ALIM Web users get an error (examples below) when they attempt to view/luanch/add files after upgrading to version 23.00.02.

  • (when attempting to view/launch)
  • Error while downloading the file xxxxx.pdf
The file (2) either does not exist or it is in a repository not accessible from this site or is not available at this time.
  • (when attempting to add)
  • Transferring of the file 'xxxxx.pdf' failed.
  • There is no available ''non-external'' Repository 'Served by a Storage Module' in the relevant 'Site'.

Cause:

The version 23.00.02 upgrade scripts turn the server offline at the beginning of the upgrade but do not turn it back online after completion.

Solution:

  1. Run eBSMC
  2. Expand the Explorer tree to show the community name(s)
  3. Click the community name which is having this issue
  4. On the right hand pane, double click the Main Site (server) icon (which should be dimmed in color)
  5. Uncheck the box "Take this module Offline"
  6. Click OK
