Problem

The Process Job was processed for the "DataLoader asset SAP functional location" staging class to sync existing APM assets with SAP FLOCs, the existing asset type was changed to (overwritten by) SAP Technical Object number. For example Asset Type Motor is changed to 00950 by the data loader.

Solution

This is the designed behaviour when using the "No mapping is performed. The asset type is always provided" in the Site Interoperability Profile Properties > Assets > Dataloader options, see pages 57-58 of the Interoperability SAP Guide.

"No mapping is performed. The asset type is always provided – On the process job, you can set the CreateAssetType parameter to “true”. The asset types are named using the technical object types’ identification numbers"
