SAP Gateway (CMMS Interoperability) mappings conversion to Assetwise Interoperability (AWEIS) SAP

Problem Description

Users converting from using APM SAP Gateway (CMMS Interoperability) to Asset Interoperability (AWEIS) SAP integrations do not know which value lists to convert in order to migrate to Asset Interoperability seamlessly.

Solution

Although the set-up guides have most of this information, it is helpful to follow this summary to review each mapping change to find any that may have been missed or converted incorrectly. Number in bracket represents the version of AWEIS the mapping was created in. AWEIS 1.1.4.0 corresponds with APM 7.12.2

Asset Management value list mappings

AssetType is mapped to the APM Asset Type value list (1.1.4.0)

SegmentType is mapped to the APM Asset Type value list (1.1.4.0)

ObjectPart is mapped to the APM Object Part value list (1.1.5.0)

Damage is mapped to the APM Damage Code value list (1.1.5.0)

Activity is mapped to the APM Activity value list (1.1.5.0)

SecondaryStatus is mapped to the APM Secondary Status value list (1.1.5.0)

LogisticResource is mapped to the APM Trade (resource) value list (1.1.5.0)

EffectiveStatusType is mapped to the APM Effective Status value list (1.1.5.0)

WorkManagement Type is mapped to the APM Work Type value list (1.1.4.0)

WorkTaskType is mapped to the APM Work Classification value list (1.1.4.0)

CharacteristicClass/Value is mapped to the appropriate APM characteristic class for asset, interop work order, interop work request, or request for work.

To set the work management defaults in APM

1. Open the Site window of the root site.

2. Select the Work Management view, the Settings tab, and the Characteristics tab.

3. Select the Options tab. Click Edit to modify the site settings. The Edit button is replaced by the Save button.

4. For each of the objects, select a default characteristic class. Click Save.

 

To set the asset management defaults in APM

1. Open the Site window for the root site.

2. Select the Assets view, Settings tab, and Characteristics tab.

3. Select the Options tab. Click Edit to modify the site settings. The Edit button is replaced by the Save button.

4. Select the default characteristic class for assets (and segments). Click Save.
