Problem

APM SAP Interoperability is certified for basic authentication. When more elaborate authentication is used such as SSO, Kerberos, etc, outbound messages to SAP will be rejected by SAP. This will cause APM to SAP ABC Criticality updates and Notifications created from Alarm Acknowledgement to fail.

Solution

User will need to update SAP authentication protocols to allow Bentley APM to use basic authentication. In some cases this may require the user's SAP team to un-inherit the authentication at the top and remove all options but Basic Authentication for Bentley APM.

In cases where the user is using Kerberos Authentication, this is not supported by Bentley APM.
