As with all upgrades, we recommend implementing and testing business flows around the changes included in an update in a Test environment, prior to updating a Production system.
The following instructions are for patching an Asset Reliability environment that is already on Release 7.19.
If you are upgrading from a previous release, please follow instructions in the Upgrade Guide for this version and then any special instructions below.

The following will need to be redeployed with every hotfix:
If changes require special setup or affect Remotes or the Database, a note will be included under the Special Instructions section below.
APMSetup.exe Repair option must be run on all computers running one or more Assetwise Performance Management components such as:
*If APM Server Manager runs as an Azure Service, copy required files as you would a new install.
The Smart Clients must be re-packaged and deployed to your deployment folder (either web share or network share).
Once complete, restart all Server Services and notify Users that they will be prompted with an upgrade step when the launch APM SmartClient.
From an updated install of APM, locate the APMOnPremODCAgent.msi package in the OnPremODCAgent folder under the install folder (default location - C:\Program Files\Bentley\AssetWise Performance Management).
This msi file is used to install update the OnPremODCAgent installation, copy it to the appropriate machine, uninstall previous version and install the newly delivered MSI.
Unless a related note is included under the Special Instructions section, customizations such as Custom code, Event assemblies and Custom Dataloaders are not affected. These are preserved during a repair and/or uninstall/reinstall; however, they must be backed up prior to applying the Hotfix in the unlikely event there are negative effects. AssetManagement_gen.DLL will need to be backed up and restored after the update, as it will be replaced.
Pre-existing Tailoring (alterations contained within the database metadata such as Custom UI, Classes and fields) does not require special handling during the hotfix application, unless a note is included under the Special Instructions section.
Refer to the APM Environment Migration Guide for detailed instructions.
