APM Views have disappeared

Problem

Some of the Product Views are no longer visible.

This is one of the signs that a licensed module's activation status is Expired



Solution

Quick Check on status

When running check License status by hovering APM Icon in the Icon Tray:

 
If disabled, it is sign that there may have been a transmission problem sending usage logs.

Formal check on Activation Status on the Server

From the APM bin directory, launch licensetool.exe (License Management Tool)
On the Activation Status Tab, status of all products will be listed:

If Products related to the missing views are in  Expired or Disabled Mode you can manually force your application to contact the SELECTserver in to send logs.

Manually Make a Connection to the Server and Activate Products

 
To manually make a connection to the server and activate products that are required, open the License Management Tool (as stated above), go to Tools>Send Logs Now.
Once you select Send Logs Now, you will see a Progress Bar. 

Once the Process is complete, the dialog box will disappear.

 Go back to Activation Status tab and do a View/Refresh.  If the required products did not change status to Activated, continue with the following

Use the Activation Wizard to Activate the products needed

In the License Management Tool, select Tools/Product Activation Wizard

NOTE: if not Bentley Hosted, and you are unsure, you will need to seek support from your system administrator or submit an SR to for the SELECTServer Product Support.
If this server was working before, the Site Activation Key should default in.
NOTE: if the Site Activation Key is blank, and you do not know what it is, you will need to seek support from your system administrator or submit an SR to for the SELECTServer Product Support.
NOTE: if test is unsuccessful, you will need to seek support from your system administrator or submit an SR to for the SELECTServer Product Support.

Back in the License Management Tool, select View/Refresh
If you need to, repeat the above for another product
If this did not work, you will need to seek support from your system administrator or submit an SR to for the SELECTServer Product Support.
If all is well with licensing, proceed to your APM Client to re-activate modules
On the Top site, go to Site/Properties/Modules tab
Ensure that Activated Modules have a check in the checkbox
Repeat for all working sites below top site.
Your views will come back as you check the corresponding modules.
If the checkboxes appear unavailable, please contact APM Support. It is likely that the key in your database has not been updated.
