APM not receiving Asset status and Asset status updates from IBM Maximo in integrated environment

Problem

In an APM Environment integrated with IBM Maximo. The user found that Asset Statuses did not match the Maximo status. Upon investigation, it was found that only newly created Maximo Assets were begin created in APM and those new Asset were not being created in APM with a matching status..

Solution

Users will sometimes update EAM/CMMS software without consideration of all other integrated applications. In the case of this user, Maximo was likely upgraded from release 6.x to 7.x. Review of the integration messages in APM revealed that only new Maximo Assets were being created in APM. This indicates that when Maximo was upgraded, the Maximo integration points were not all built, only the Create type events were generating an xml from Maximo. User need to review the APM Integration/Ivara Integration to Maximo guide for their  APM version. In this case the Maximo Enterprise Service for "IVARA_ASSET_CONPRI_N" was not set-up with the Operation called "Update" was missing but the Operation called "Create" existed. The user needed to build an additional Operation for "Update".

Additionally, due to the Asset status not showing up in the APM Event xml message, we checked on the "IVARA_ASSET_NOTIFY" Object Structure in Maximo, it was missing the Status. The user needed to update the "IVARA_ASSET_NOTIFY" Object Structure in Maximo to include "Status".
