Problem

When starting up a APM Server Service, the following message is issued:

The IvaraServer - <port> - <instancename> service on Local Computer started and then stopped.  Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.

Solution

Typically seen when the account running the Service cannot log on to the APM instance:

• Verify user login and employee exists in the APM environment for the user running the service
• Verify  password  for "ivara" database user has not changed
• Verify account has sufficient permissions to run the service on server machine
• Verify account has full permissions to the application install directory on server machine
