Problem
A Work orders is stuck in the “complete” status.
The work order was automatically sent for approval when generated from Preventive Maintenance standard job. However, prior to approval, one of the following actions are known to cause this problem:
· The work order’s tasks were marked as “completed”.
· The work order’s tasks were scheduled.
The end result is that the work order cannot be closed.
Symptoms
When attempting to close a work order, the Mark as Closed menu option will be visible, but disabled (i.e., greyed-out).
Also, the work order’s banner will show its status as Completed and Waiting for approval.
Or, the work order’s banner will show its status as Scheduled and Waiting for approval.
Solution
A SQL update statement is required to fix the data. Please submit a Service Request for APM Support if you believe you may have this problem.
