Intermittent client hangs or progress dialog not being dismissed

Problem

We have been getting some transaction hang ups during certain types of transactions. 

Examples:

It is not happening on all clients, only on the one.

Solution

Client reported that since they repackaged and deployed an update to the Smart Client and the problems stopped. 

There was no specific change to the client, they just forced a fresh package and deployment on the Smart Client.


Perhaps there were damaged files on the machine that was having troubles and these were replaced with the Smart Client deployment. 

If you are chasing an intermittent problem similar to the above, after checking that a reboot does not clear the problem, it seems worth a try to either

If this does not work, submit an SR, we will help with troubleshooting.

We will need to look at log files, please submit with SR.
