User had several checksheets that would error with "SAP Maintenance Order Type" whenever the user would try to "mark as complete".
With some investigation the user determined that this was only problematic with certain indicators that were in Alarm. These indicators had one or more previous readings in Alarm and they were acknowledged with an APM Work Order, despite the user being in an SAP Gateway (CMMS Interoperabiltiy) integrated environment. In SAP Gateway environments, users cannot acknowledge alarms with APM Work Orders, only SAP Notifications and SAP Maintenance Orders can be used.
It was confirmed that all of the erroring Checksheets has Indicators in Alarm that were trying to auto-acknowledge to APM Work Orders that were all created prior to the user's environment being moved to SAP Gateway (CMMS Interoperability) integration.
When migrating a user environment to an SAP Gateway (CMMS Interoperability) environment, all preexisting APM Work Order need to be closed. Those work order linked to Alarms that have not yet been executed need to be ported into new SAP Maintenance Orders. There are several ways to do this:
1. Cancel existing Corrective type APM Work Order will put the Indicator back into alarm. Once the SAP Gateway is running, the alarm can be acknowledged with an SAP Maintenance Order.
2. Close existing Corrective type APM Work Orders. Then wait for the existing checksheets or odc indicators to take new samples or manually create an adhoc indicator reading to put these indicators back into alarm.
Corrective type APM Work Order that are already executed can simply be closed.
Although this activity is best performed when transitioning, migrating to the new integration, the user can still correct the condition at any time by completing and closing the aging APM work orders at regular intervals and carefully monitoring for open Corrective type APM Work Orders.
Once these APM Work Orders are closed, the indicators in alarm will not try to auto-acknowledge to an APM Work Order while treating it as an SAP Maintenance Order and will stop erroring when the checksheet is marked as complete.
