Overview
When licensing a pre-XM application with a standalone Nodelock license file, the license file should be delivered from Bentley with the correct file name. Copy the attachment to the appropriate directory. Once the license file is in place, launch the product and it should start.
If necessary, see below for a list of license file names and locations.
If you are running a pre-XM application with server-based licensing, please refer to Pointer Files Explained for Pre-XM Products, before proceeding.
Please note, if you are working on a 64-bit operating sytem, you may need to use Program Files (x86) in place of Program Files in the directory paths specified below. Most of these applications are not certified on newer operating systems. Please be aware that issues may arise when installing an older application on a newer operating system.
For Pre-XM applications older than 8.5, refer to License File Names 8.0 & Below for license file names and locations.

CivilStorm , CulvertMaster , FlowMaster , GISConnect , HAMMER , PondPack , SewerCAD , SewerGEMS , StormCAD , WaterCAD , WaterGEMS
On the client machines, browse to the product directory - typically C:\Program Files\Haestad\Product_Name (where Product_Name is an abbreviation of the product name, eg. WTRC for WaterCAD) and open the file "license.lic" with a text editor such as Notepad. This file should contain the line SERVER="server name" (where "server name" is the name of the server running SELECTserver). Update this file if required,
then save and close it.
